RTEK 1.0 and OMP delete
Car in question is an S5 N/A with a faulty electric OMP/MOP. Bought the chip to get rid of limp mode and run premix. I assumed it would be fairly intuitive where the chip is to be soldered but i was wrong. I did some research to try figure out which chip i need to replace and i came up empty handed.
I assume its the one with the number code on it but i want to be sure before i fry my ECU
Any insight would be very much appreciated

yea it wasn't an easy job, sheesh. The car starts up and idles alright, I still want to test the car under light throttle to ensure nothing is messed up. The board bubbled in one spot a bit, im hoping its not a multilayer board considering its from a car designed in the mid/late 80s. I'll make an update with my final results

Shipping and receiving items from the states takes a while because of my current location. I'm on a tight schedule because I'm currently in the process of registering my car and i have 28 days left before my safety certificate expires. In that time i need to car to run properly so i can pass emissions. I need both certificates to register the car for the first time in over a decade.
I know the right thing would have been to ship it out and patiently wait for the job to be done by a professional but i just dont have the time

not a problem! It's just a pain to get parts up here in canada because i end up having to order everything from the US anyways. Conveniently, the shipping cost for the chip itself wasn't all that much and it was nice to have it shipped to my door instead of crossing the border and all that fun shtuff
