RP performance cat back

anyone got this? did it increase your performance, or is it just a replacement of the stock system? i'm thinking about this exhaust as i am a poor college student, but want to do some mods to my FC. should i just save my money for a larger, more aggressive cat-back?
thanks

I have this system on my vert and there really is no noticeable power difference. They say it does, but I could never see it. The exhaust note is a little more aggressive but I say save your money.

a cat back isn't going to give any power. save up and get rid of the cats.

I have to agree just getting a cat wont help you need the whole exhaust to be effective. Gut your cats if you can (emmision testing) or get a local muffler shop to bend you a 2.5" or bigger pipe to replace the cat pipes. If you can swing getting him to run you a pipe all the way out you should really see improvement. but you wont be able to talk in you car

what? the RP system worked wonders on my 86 -- well maybe thats cause the mufflers were F**Ked -- but now im running into cat trouble... anyhow -- I say get the 150$ cat replacement pipe w/presilencer... good deal... then hit it up with a catback cause lord knows my 89 factory piping on the muffles friggin sucks hard...

well, i will need to keep the cats for emissions in colorado. how about Bonez's high flow cat with the exhaust? will this help out? The thing is that i want to get a good exhaust, but i don't want it to be TOO loud. I've seen numerous threads about which exhaust everyone digs, but does anyone have any other ideas of a not-so-expensive exhaust, that, when added with a high flow cat produces some good hp gains?
