Routing the IC piping
HAs anyone seen the IC piping run over the radiator support? Im going to have my FMIC put in in a few days, and its going to need the IC piping custom made. I was looking for the shortest path (non-greddy) and was interested in going over the radiator support like some 3rd gen guys do. I cant remember if I have seen it done on a second gen though, and was wondering if it was an option for me.
well it'll just hit the hood... I have seen a cool setup where they cut out each side of the rad support (at the top) and ran it "over" the surport where it was cutout.
and they they welded in a strenghing brace below the piping to join the support back up.

Why not set back the radiatior and put the intercooler in that new space?
I havent done this yet but as soon as I get my TII back that is the next project. It just seems so much more logical than running pipinng thru the rad support.

Cool. Thats what I was referring to, going over the support. How much of it is hitting the hood? Is it small enough I could notch the hood? This setup interets me, ill mention the setup your talking about when I take the car up there next week. Im just trying to find an alternative to the Greddy route, cause I have a full size battery in the sotck location, and it looks pretty tight in there, plus id like the shortest route possible.
