rotors or housing.....help

Tried asking before and got no luck

The s5 turbo engine have higher compression why is that? Weight of the rotors?

I have a s5 n/a would it be stupid to get a s4 TII car (found one i really want) and swap everything over? I am going to rebuild and agressively streetport the motor but but want to know is i really should wait for a s5 tII

Compression ratio is direclty determined by the dish on the face of the rotors. Weight has nothing to do with compression.

Never try to swap parts between series...if you want to do a swap, use s5 turbo parts on an s5 NA car, or use s4 turbo parts on an s4 NA car.

8:9:1 compared to 8:7:1 on TII FCs not that drastic.

Dunno but there a little bit lighter. A search would revile this.

Wtf are you talking about?

s5 turbo is 9.0:1 and s4 turbo is 8.5:1.

They did it to increase low end response and gas mileage.

s5 rotors are 1lb lighter than s4.

Looks like both of us should have not relied on memory and double checked our facts.

I did screw up the compression. As you stated "s5 turbo is 9.0:1 and s4 turbo is 8.5:1."

The weight of the S5 rotors are 9.54 and the S4 is 10.05 that is one half pound not one pound.

Next time don't be so quick; to be an ***.

Actually, ***, you are wrong again. I have ALL of the weight codes on my shelf. Taking the average of them, the s4 rotors weigh in at 10.45lb. There is no one exact weight of each version rotor.

Talk **** again.

Edit: It appears that m'trix recently edited their rotor weight and compression page, which has always in the past reflected my own findings of s4 rotors weighing 10.4-5lb. I believe they have done so mistakenly, or have failed to take the average of all the weight codes that exist within s4 rotors. Or perhaps they decided to weigh them without bearings.

M'trix site weighs with rotor bearings and no seals.

WTF did that prove? Nothing! Just ramble jamble.

If you think Henrick is wrong, why dont you and him talk to Mazda then post some numbers in an agreement.

S5/S6 Rotor Weights

FYI: I recently weighed (1) S6 and (2) S5 turbo rotors at:

"B" 4377.57g (9.650lb)
"C" 4342.11g (9.573lb)
"D" 4343.67g (9.576lb)
