bad

you can re-use it all you want. or have someone to lap it like goopy.

but if its me, I probably just buy a very good looking used housing or brand new housing, if you cared about longevity and power that is.

how deep are those striations in your 2nd post?
In the first picture, it looks like chatter near the omp hole.

that amount of chrome flaking is pretty bad, i wouldn't use them in an engine if you want it to make any decent amount of compression. better to spend the money now than to have to rebuild it again a few years down the road.

resurfacing is an alternative, goopy does it as well as a few others and i am working on making a fixture to do it soon as well. keep in mind the chrome will be thinner afterwards meaning you can only do a resurface on the housings one time and the housings will wear faster but they will make more compression.

are you even listening ? read Karack's post again.

its done by "removing" material. so in short run it will work, great for people on a budget

but it will NEVER be able to beat the life of a good used housing/brand new housing.
