What's the difference between NA and TII housings? Strength, size, ports, etc..

TII are 4 port, I believe are the same otherwise minus some minor things like they don't have exhaust inserts, or the insert is different, can't recall.

Only difference between n/a and TII rotor housings is the exhaust insert.

So if I used NA housings on a turbo engine then it shouldn't be a problem except for the freeze plugs. Correct?

I thought the intake ports were on the irons on all of them except for the 12A's and a peripheral ported motor.

^ You are correct. People tend to mix up irons and housings while talking about ports.

Careful though, the "timing"/spark plug locations vary between 86-88 and 89-91. So don't go mixing those up

NA housings will be good to go besides the freeze plug. Just cut out or replace the exhaust sleeve.

Ok. I just figured the TII housings would be heavier/stronger or something. I keep hearing "don't turbo charge an NA."

What's the deal with the intake ports? I thought I saw somewhere in a thread about choosing a 4 port over a 6 port. I thought the 6 port was better.
