Question Rotor Housings

I have an 87 TII, which is being rebuilt, but my mechanic says i need new rotor housings because mine have small cracks and grooves. Would "lapping" fix small cracks/grooves? I want to know if i can use any year rotor housings (as long as they're turbo) or if anyone has had theirs "lapped" and the total price. Thanks for any help. -Craig

you can't resurface rotor housings, you either need to buy new, or find good used ones, you can use 87-91 turbo rotor housings

You can only lap the irons, not the housings. You will need to replace the housings.
