Exclamation Rotor Housing

Rebuilding my 88t2 is this gouge a deal breaker for a rebuild also if you have another opinions like about the sides Id like to hear them.

Also is anyone part of the mazda racing parts discount program? I was wondering if the side housings are cheaper at all?

Mazdatrix wants $1,140.65 for both front and rear housings. Anyone know of any cheaper?

Those are obviously garbage. Get some used housings in good shape. You should be looking for no flaking of chrome, no gouges, no nicks, burrs, etc. Also, check the coolant seal area to make sure it's not corroding away. Don't mix housings within an engine. If you use 1 s4 housing, use another s4 housing. If the rotor's torn up as well (looking at that housing, I'd suspect it is), then get another rotor of the same series. Turbo rotors are different from non-turbo. Same goes for the housings. Rotors have a stamped letter weight on them. Get one that is either the same letter weight, or one letter weight difference away at the most.
