oh and heres a tidbit to leave you guys
not that the hinssioncars are road racers but they have video of a 9.8 1/4 mile @140mph and still are getting 27mpg.... on the highway.
thats on 26x10.5 ET streets and 16x4's up front...

An LS1 might not weigh much more than a 13B Turbo, but how much do the T56 trannies weigh (since that's what he said he was going to use)? And how big are they?
I think with how fast you want the car, it's pretty much going to HAVE to be either a drag car or a road race car. Any road race setup would probably be too stiff for drag racing, and you would have a hard time getting traction, and any drag setup would be too soft to use for road racing.
This is how I think it would work out. You could either have a car that is really good at one type of racing, or a car that is not very good at both of them. You have to compromise somewhere. Unless you got a lot of money, in which case forget everything I just said.
