Right-side single exit exhausts
Right-side single exit exhausts
Can anyone tell me for sure which catbacks are right-side exit?
For some reason, right sided exhausts just look so much cooler on FCs than left exit mufflers...
I think the Apexi GT is left, and the N1 single is right.

Because if there is something that is affordable, looks good, and sounds good, I don't see any reason to get a custom one done.
Also, very few places seem to have a mandrel bender where I live, so they only make mufflers with crimped bends. Boo.

Err, well... I figured something around $500 would be nice.
Rotary Performance has the GT spec (which I want but it has a left-side exit I think) and the N1 for about $485.
Combine that with their Bonex downpipe and high-flow cat, and then yay.

I've noticed that 2nd Generation exhausts are quite a bit more pricey than similar cars for some reason. E.G. HKS catback for the FC is 750-800 bucks versus the FD version is 450 to my door.
500 bucks is a lot of money for an exhaust, if you had a friend, or knew how to weld you could make a very sick custom exhaust for that or less, even if you're buying prebent mandrel piping from a vendor

Can't wait to see what you come up with, I agree that right side exit is preferable (both from an aesthetic and weight distribution standpoint). I went w/ the REV TII catback because I got a great deal on it and couldn't find a right side exit that sounded nice.
I also went with a right side exit so I could install a surge tank in the other location, where the muffler used to be. It's in very close proximity to the fuel pump, so the lines between both are very short

N1 single is the one that comes to mind... the muffler shops around here don't do mandrel bends either, its all crush.
if you were willing to fab something, i bet you could buy and FD catback and do a little cutting and have it fit

I don't own a stock TII exhaust so if I ever go do a swap, I don't want to have to drive to an exhaust shop with no mufflers, or pay to have it trailered.
I have plenty of time before I will need it, as I am probably staying another year in Japan.
I want something I can bolt on.

I slipped my old exhaust into the downpipe I bought (the only pre-made part of mine) and drove it to the shop/friend's, was only a little louder.
On the flip side, I totally know how it feels wanting something bolt in.
Ask the rotary performance guys to honor their listed prices, easily the cheapest N1/GT spec prices on the net if they do.
