I've seen a few right-hand drives at shows that were legal. I think it depends on the state/city. You should ask your local Department Of Transportation for the laws in your area.

if that rhd fc in canada you are looking at was an import from the japanese market, it wont be legal until you go through all the steps of the EPA and DOT importing rules.

Has anybody here actually driven a manual RHD? I would think it would be hard to adjust. I have 20 years of instintiveness in driving a LHD and I am supposed to drive around the block a few times and pick up the RHD? Is it as hard as I think it is???

Its not all that hard.

The shift pattern is the same, pedals are the same, just the turn signal switch is opposite. Getting used to it isn't that hard.

The only REAL difficult part (which theres no way around) is turning left at an intersection. You can't see well enough to do it safely 90% of the time.

Well, shifting with the left hand was strange at first, but after a few days, no problem. Same thing with making sure I was centered, just took a few days. However, if you're alone, forget drive-throughs and to get into my parkade I have to get out to hit the card access... maybe I'll get a stick.lol.

You could always drive through backwards. That would screw up the people in McDonald's.
