Right before the TB, that sensor...
Car is an 87 TII. Ported my wastegate and took off the acv, capped the hoses and such and made block of plate. In the process, I destroyed the little sensor the is right before the TB. What is this sensor called and what is its function. Will the car run at all without it? Right now the car starts, hits about 1500rpm, then dies as if the fuel has been cut. I know that this is some sort of air sensor, so if its not there reading air, Im guessing its telling the ECU that so no fuel. Thanks for the input.
Another question, whats my best bet on getting another. Where to order from? Or junk yard the best bet? Thanks

It won't be causing the engine to die, but it's dangerous to drive hard without it. The ECU is not compensating for the increased intake temps, and the chance of detonation increases.
