ride height doesnt change

I have 3 s4's . One Gtu , one T 2 , and one base 4 lugger . My base had Illumina's wrapped with eibachs and sits higher than the rest . My gtu and tii are equally low on blown struts . I swapped the illuminas to the gtu and wrapped them in fresh Tanabe's . The ride height is still 2 +inches lower than my base . I even threw my blown aas struts and shocks on my base and its still the same height . Any input on why or what to do vwould be great

one of my fc's has tokico blues and tanabe springs the initial drop was about half of what it actually settled too after a month. Have you driven the car after putting these on? if you are just swapping the parts without moving it the springs never actually seat.

^+1. The suspension settles after moving the car. Not just putting it back to the ground.

All stock springs started out the same size. However, they sag after this many years of service, so you may not notice much of a drop if installing something like the eibachs. The tanabe's are supposed to be about a 2" drop from stock.

how are you measuring ride height?

The tire size that comes on a 4 lug FC isn't used at all anymore, so the tire sizes are probably different than stock. If the tires are bigger than stock this will raise the car....

The car is also a good bit lighter than the other 2... which will raise it.

EDIT, just saw that it's running 18" wheels... what's the tire size 40 is only half of it...

Stock replacement shocks are not going to affect the ride height. Focus on the springs.

Can you rephrase your question or tell us what you're trying to do?

measure from the center cap of the wheel to the fender. That will give you a definitive answer.

The suspension may be lower on the higher cars, but they may not seem to be.
