Rice Krispies in my coolant?

I was taking apart the manifold this morning so I could get to my injectors. When I removed the top coolant line from the throttle body a bunch of little things came out along with seemingly normal and clean looking coolant. I can only describe it as feeling like soggy rice krispies. I was thinking it was corrosion but its squishes really easily. lol OK now that I sound like a complete idiot could someone please tell me what it is? I didn't find any coming out of the lower throttle body hose.

More Pictures

No not yet. I just got the car last week. Insurance hasn't gone through yet and I can't get it registered and on the road until it does.

I just added some pictures which I hope will help.

Is that what that junk is? Thanks man! That would explain the brand new Koyo rad and otherwise clean coolant.

Stop leak + new radiator makes it sound like to me it was overheated. Makes me think it was overheated then they got a new radiator to try to fix it, but that didn't work so they went with the stop leak. Just a random thought though.

I really hope not. I talked to the guys mechanic and that would definitely be an important fact that got let out of the conv from both of them.

Edit - If there was a blown seal wouldn't I have coolant in my oil? I did make sure to check for it. Also no smoke or sweat exhaust smell.

Edit2 ( getting mad ) Before I flip out, this motor supposedly only has 5000 miles on it and the new rad was put on recently ( after the rebuild ). Is it possible the stop leak was left over from what ever killed the old motor?

ahahah, i got that story and those rice crispys.

3000 mile rebuilt(supposely), on my way home from the owners house i started blowing white plumes of smoke out my exhaust and found those babies floating up top. They stop leaked it just enough for me to make it out of the driveway -_-. There is no lemon law in NY for private owners.....

Doood.... all that rice adds, like, 50 horsepower!

Stop leak isn't very good. If it was covering up a problem, you'd have that problem now. But I'd guess the same thing. Maybe he had a leaky hose and poured the can in there. I've heard it described as rat poop before. Does rat poop look like rice krispies?

I've heard of stop leak working for years.

Don't use stop leak, it leaves a real mess in the irons. I used it for my jspec becasue they sold me a blown motor(www.jdmenginescorp.com). When we took it apart for the rebuild, the insides were gross, i had got the silverly metalatlic one. And when you rebuild the motor the engine builder should have cleaned insides.

I agree that stop leak is for the lose.

I've heard an egg works too... why don't you try that? It works best if you add pepper too. The egg binds the pepper to... bah. /sigh

It runs right? Run it with the filler cap off, and look for bubbles. If you don't see any bubbles at all coming up from your coolant, then I have a hard time believing that your seals are shot. Like someone said even if it is stop leak or w/e maybe it was just for a poor hose. They could be overheated, but you can find out. If you're still not sure after that then pressure test the coolant system overnight.

Thanks. It runs OK. Microtech is not tuned right so idle is a little rough at just under 600rpm but it's fairly steady. We drove it around for a little bit. I didn't get on it but temps were good.

My parts should be here by the end of the week. Then I can run it and check. I didn't see any sign of that junk until it was already apart.
