I like the kit you're wanting to make. That is the prototype drawing of the kit C-Wwest was SUPPOSED to make for the FC, but they decided that there wouldn't be enough of a market to justify it.

Good luck if you DIY!

well I got the hood today.
YES it is the one that Dltreezan made. The thing is nice
even unpainted yet. You can tell that they put a lot of
work into it. I am very satisfied with the quality of the
hood. For a first production model of the hood I think
that they have a great product here. It is well worth the
money and the wait.
will post pics once mounted on car next week and again
once painted on the car.
Thanks Dltreezen for allowing me to be the first owner
of a BAD *** hood for my FC.
fellow fc owners you need a hood this is a great way to
add a litttle character to your car.

later

I think it looks great, but what happens when it rains? Looks like water will just be falling on top of the engine. Keep in mind it rains 250+ days a year where I live.

FOLKS
place your orders now if you like it, great item at this
price. Hope Dltreezan can keep up with you all.

does rain hurt your engine ????
you do not anything to worry about.
If it rains on it will just fall between the alt pulley and the fan blades.
would be no diferent than hosing down your engine.
NO WORRIES IN MY OPINION.

I layed it down on my car to see the results of how well
the reverse cowl works and it is great. Once my e-fan kicks in alot of the hot air is pushed right out without the car even moving. If I was to re-mount the fan to
a 45-60 degree angle instead of 90 then I beleive that
you would never worry about a overheating issue at all.

here it is on my car mounted with locking hood pins
not painted yet but will be in next few weeks
you would not believe how light it is.
still adjusting the rubber bumpers to get height correct.
the front bumper of car is not bolted all
the way on so that is why the gap is there once
bolts are in place the gap will disappear.

looks wavy due to the gray primer I sprayed on it
Looks alot better now that I wet sanded it after the
pic was taken.

Dltreezan, are you thinking of making the "C-west" bumper, the bumper you photoshoped up, or something different.

I vote for the C-west bumper as I personally love it, I remember the great initial response those pics had when ReTed posted them YEARS ago, and it would serve C-west right for tempting us w/ the pics for so long and never producing it...

Hell, make the whole C-west kit I really dig those side skirts as well.

Hey Ian.......hopefully with my next pay check ill be getting materials to make a bumper out of my s5 mold that i can chop and play with.......im making something similar to the uras front with openings below the intial openings where the break ducts are and not as aggressive on the sides...BUT.....the thing that makes the Cwest kit look as good as it does is the opening below the front lines of the hood and i think that would be perfect for the functionality of the hood especially if you are running a horizontal mount....and i can offer that as an option.....as far as sideskirts and a rear ill do something similar
