I will be purchasing a genuine RE kit, and I hope no one makes a fake one, last thing we need is a lot of the same kit wandering around. =)

Well....I do understand your point. But consider this, how many 2nd gens are out there (in your area) that want this upgrade. Then consider the price compare availablity, to the needed. Not to many...still very rare.

I want one....I have have a few kits in the past.....they ALWAYS break! This is why I want a replica.

Someone HOOK IT UP!!!!

Avaliability? Not bad, I can just order them from Japan as needed, in fact, I have two friends who are going to buy the real one whenever they get around to finishing their FCs, there will be two white ones, and a black one wandering around the Bay Area.. unfortunately.

I'm still kinda new to this forum but if you can get a body kit cheaper and it looks the same how can you be againist it. Not every one out there has 1600 chucks to spend on a body kit but the same people still have good taste(just not alot of money) and would enjoy a killer body kit. Later

I'm mixed on it. If everyone were to buy replicas the companies that make the originals will lose out and stop making anything for our cars... Then again the original manufacturers charge so damned much for their product that it isn't hard to imagine why we're drawn to a replica that looks exactly like the original but costs less and that is made in the USA so we aren't raped on shipping prices. If I lived in Japan I'd be against all the way but I'm liing in the US so.....

Man get what you can take I say. The companys aren't going to make kits for 2nd gens for much longer anyways. Maybe 5 or 10 years or so right? They'll quit on us anyways so might as well get some kits out there while you can. If I had a RE kit I could have others made cheap from some guy I know that owns a fiberglass place. Maybe one day...

And again.....they always crack when you hit something. I have had fglass kits in the past....you know how it is.

Anyway, if someone out there has one to replicate do it. It does seem that ther IS an interest in THAT RE kit.

I believe a replica kit would cost aprox 500-700 maybe more, maybe less.

HOOK IT UP!!!!!!

Have you ever been to Japan or know how the deal with the "outside" cultures. Do you think they really give a rats *** about us the good ol' USA. The only reason why they are currently trading with the US is just due to the simple fact that it makes their companies money.

WHO GIVE A S__T!

Everyone knows how much money it takes to build a kit...not much. Why pay for Customs fees (Japan and US), freight cost fees (Japan and US), and agent fees (Japan and US)...do you see where I am getting at!

Sometimes you need to think outside of the box and understand that it is okay.....relax and accept the fact that WE NEED IT!!!

NODE...tell me the truth, if you were standing there, looking at a replica kit and the original....they both look...the same. The replica costing....$600, the original costing....umm$2000....now, which one will YOU pick>?

I don't have anything against most replicas of kits, but I think the RE is a work of art.
Could you get it exact? And what about lighting.

in japan you can get the kits cheap, the reason they are so expensive here is that we pay full retail and shipping

$600 with the lights? I don't think so. $2000? I don't think so. I'll be getting the kit for under retail in Japan, and shipping it here, it'll be under $1500 delivered.

If a fake comes out, I'll be pissed, and I'll have to get another kit, but thats just me.

Wasn't someone supposed to be coming out with an original kit, designed and made here? What happened to that? Wasn't it supposed to be cheap?
