Replacing Struts? How difficult?

I just got my new struts in. KYB AGX's. How difficult of a job is this? I have a mechanic friend helping, just trying to gauge how long and what headaches I may come across. Any info is appreciated.

It's actually very easy. The only difficult part is if you do not have a spring compressor. I can usually do a set in about 3-4 hours.

I'll have access to all the tools I need. (doing at a full service shop) I'm hoping to keep it under 3 hours total. As far as klutz goes... I am pretty sure I'll be ok.

Lowering springs or regular? If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the springs?

2 hours maybe. I've done them in 45 minutes, just don't rush your self and be safe around the spring compressor.

Thanks for the input guys. Got em done. So awesome to get new struts. Its not the same car anymore. I got the old struts off, I could compress them with my freaking pinky finger. I was riding pure springs. Sooo glad to have new ones.

I did the struts on a 94 audi once where right after I took the top nut off the piston dropped like a rock right into the cylinder. it was pretty bad.
