Replacing injector seals and o-ring : questions

I've replaced the two grommits and o-rings. I noticed that the grommit by the nozzle was pretty hard and stiff. Replacments went on nice and easy. Any precautions or recommendations putting these back together again or assembling back into manifold?

Do I need to pressurize the system with the injectors out of the manifold to make sure that they don't leak or just put them in and forget about it? I'm trying to follow the Haynes procedure but seems the primaries are leaking; they're hanging down, while the secondaries are pointing up/sideways. Have attached a pic.

Any comments?

Thanks.

Recommendations?

Make sure the string is good and tight. Pressurizing them that way is to check for leakage at the end of the injector. If you only want to check the o rings, just bolt them on and pressuize it then.

I recommend using oil, any lubricant (i.e. silicone spray, grease), or Hylomar on the o-rings and lower grommets.&nbsp Use this stuff SPARINGLY - use only enough to lightly coat the pieces.&nbsp Be VERY careful when installing the o-rings and inserting the fuel injectors back into the fuel rails.&nbsp I managed to damage one of the o-rings which caused a huge fuel leak!
