Hey, I have a buddy that works at a muffler shop, and he said he could make me a complete straight 2 1/2" exhaust, Im planning on using two $70 Apexi n1 knockoffs. What im asking is, how loud is this gonna be? does anyone have a similar setup? Any sound clips?
I dont mind a loud exhaust, as long as i wont have ringing in my ears for 30 minutes after driving my car .

 

They'll be ringing. I have a 2.5 down pipe but witha racing beat presilencer and apex n1 duals and get's loud on boost. I had to get the silencers for normal driving.

I would recommend getting the silencers for the mufflers.

Here is a video of me drag racing. I'm having ignition problem right now so you'll hear a lot of poping and backfire.

Get presilencers or your ears are not going to ring they are going to bleed.
Plus, you won't be driving it long that way, the cops are going to become very familiar with you. I imagine you will be on a first name basis.

hanman is right....go with something quieter or you will be like me and worry about cops hearing you stomp on it all the time.

 

with my setup its loud 3-5 grand after 5 grand its not as loud its weird, a resonator is good . not so loud inside the car

 

i have straight pipe and a N1 catback
it's loud on WOT, but it's kinda deep tone when idling and normal low rev crusing
i only got 1 exhaust ticket in 2 yrs

so i will say it's not THAT bad

 

N1 Knockoffs?? They may melt/blowout in a few weeks.

You should really get a presilencer....It will quiet it down a little bit, but mostly, it kills the REALLY sharp thwaky chainsaw sound.

If you have a header??? Ha.. good luck being able to see straight when driving!
