well i insulated the whole car while it was stripped of all the interior. i dont know what ur intentions are for the car but i used damplifier to coat the entire underneath of the car front and back then for the trans tunnel i used a really nice heat padding/insulator the they no longer list , i placed some overkill in various locations and the luxury liner for carpet padding in the passanger area of the car
this is the link i followed when i did mine. it might or might not help

Ive planed on taking all my carpet out. I'm getting that truck lining stuff at walmart. It's like the Rhino lining that trucks get. Easy to clean and you can change the colors of it I think(just basic colors).

im looking to keep heat down mostly but id also like it to be quiet. and most of all id like the carpet i bought to fit right and last a while. i didnt relize the factory padding was so damn thick! that ***** crazy.. ive been looking at the second skin site and i think im gna go with the damplifier then the luxury liner on top of that. how much of the luxury liner do you think it will take to do the just the whole front floor? (not hatch area)

^ plz stop talking, the damplifier is rated better then dynomat . a nine foot sheet should be fine to cover the front passanger area. i found the heat wave stuff that i used on the transmission tunnle under thermal insulation on the home page
