Replaced rear main seal and STILL have oil leakage!

I dropped the tranny again and replaced my rear oil seal to fix one of two of my oil problems. The old seal looked brand new but I still replaced it, inspected my rear stationary bolts and general area and found nothing out of the ordinary. Put it all back together and checked with a blacklight and after 10 mins of letting the car run at about 2500(oil pressure way low at idle, O-ring, replaced it already though) I found a trail of oil leaking down over top of the bottom of the stationary gear bolts and surface.

....So.....rear seal is good, I am aware of the oil seal on the stationary gear but I know its is OK, engine was just rebuilt so I assume the oil seal is in just as good shape as the old rear main seal. I have looked at my FSM in section 2 and looked even closer at the oil flow diagram.

Here is my question, if the rear bearing is bad will it cause this much oil leakage to flow over the rear main seal and will it cause significant oil pressure drop that is almost exactly like the symptoms of a bad front housing o-ring?

..I am running out of solutions and am frankly very frustrated.

What do you guys think??????

are you sure that it is coming from there or could it possibly be coming from higher like the oil filter pedestal? the orings (2 of em) can leak and make a great mess. just a suggestion.

There is an o-ring that seals the rear stationary gear to the rear iron. You have to remove the rear stat gear to replace it. It's not hard to do. Just make sure when you pull the gear out you take it straight out and don't move the rotor. Put it straight back in. Might require a slight tap from a rubber mallet to seat. Torque the stat gear bolts to spec and you're done.

This o-ring leaking can also lead to low oil pressure so that could be part of your problem.

Thanks C. Ludwig, I am aware of having to remove the stationary gear to replace the o-ring and was going to actually replace it but the flow pattern of the oil leaking indicates that it is flowing over top of the back surface of the stationary gear(where the bolts enter).

it appears to be coming out and over the rear main seal???? Is that possible?

Has anyone had an oil leak LIKE this in that area OR has anyone had a bad rear rotor bearing that has caused this type of situation? Your help is GREATLY apreciated.
