replaced cpu.. now i've got more problems!
the cpu i replaced fixed two out of the three main problems i had so to that. now i've ran into more problems..
1-my brake lights still dont work. i press on the brake.. nothing happens. i asked the previous owner about it and he says theres a switch that runs along the pedal stalk that may have to be replaced, i have no idea what switch he's talking about. i went to the rear of the car and i found a white female plug with the horiztonal and vertical inserts. its just dangling there and i have no idea where it goes, its hanging off of a bigger wire that runs across the back of the car and its more towards the passenger side tail light. PLEASE HELP.
2-found another dangling wire while attemping to find the switch the previous owner was talking about for the brakes, i found where it went though. i plugged it in and all the lights in the center of the dash came on, and so did my shift up light. they stayed on no matter what.. turned key to the on position, stayed on, took the key out, stayed on. whats up with that?! guess he had it unplugged for a reason! PLEASE HELP.
3-another problem thats not too important is that my right horn button on the steering wheel doesn't work. how would i fix that??
i really need help with these! especially 1&2! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP.. lol tia.

Go to the FAQ (link below), find the post that contains links to on-line factory service manuals and download the manual for your car. Use the wiring diagram to identify your dangling connectors. The color of connectors is not particularly significant, but the color of the wires will show you what connects to what.

1. You could use the FSM Wiring Diagrams and trace the voltage of the system and see where the problem is.
1/2. Like Go48 said, "dangling wire" isn't a huge help. There's a lot of wires in that area .
3. Probably a loose connection inside the steering wheel. Sheeesh, nothing better to fix . I wish a horn not working was the biggest problem I had. How dare you actually get your car running right!

In general, when multiple electrical things come on together, it's often an open ground.
One component will seek a ground back through another, which can activate both.
First go the manual (body electrical section) & confirm the grounds, then check the connectors.
My previous owner had an aftermarket alarm hacked into the harness. My warning beepers are still screwy.

FSM 50-58, There is a Stop Light Switch. It goes through the Stop Light Warning Relay (CPU) on the way to the brakes.
The Brake Light Switch (I'm assuming it's the same as Stop Light Switch) is located at the top of the brake pedal (FSM 11-64). 2 spade GW and WG connector.

two pin plug for the brake light switch, easily reached from under thst dash.
Not sure what you plugged or unplugged on the 2nd item. Do you have wire colors, location, number of holes and wires in the plug, and what did you plug it into???
3rd: you need to pull the steering wheel cover off and clean out the switch contacts on the button that does not work. The horn working on the other one of them tells us that CPU is functioning correctly for the Horn circuit.
