Coolant Guage (temp) Pegs when key is on...

Without even starting the T2 swap (jspec) if the key is in the on position the temp guage pegs and the alarm starts going off... Is there a good reason for this..? I went over to a buddies house tonight and his j-spec swap is doing the same thing.... Wierd huh....

it will only go off if the level is low, are you running the right ecu? and as for the needle pegging perhaps the sencors are different. id check that.

I had teflon tape around a Autometer Oil Pressure guage. The needle pegged when powered up. I read online to remove the tape, and wallah, worked perfect.

Might not be your problem, but thought to bring it up.

I assume that the sensor must read a different resistance or something like that. I am going to try to swap out a N/A one.
