Removing UIM.. questions

Well, i havnt asked a real question in a while. I am in the process of removing my TB.. Dynamic chamber followed by my UIM (with 2ndary fuel rail/injectors still attached. Do i HAVE TO replace the UIM - LIM gasket while doing this? what are the consequences of reusing the current gasket?

-Markus

You do not have to unbolt the dynamic chamber fromt he UIM.

You can re-use the gasket if it is ok. I have and I have not had any problems. But you may have some vac leaking if yours isn't in GOOD or EXCELENT condition.

ok, great... another question. I am also in the process of removing my BAC, and rerouting the coolant lines (from back of waterpump strait to rear housing) Does this require me to remove the themo wax on the rear of the TB? Again, what are consiquences of rerouting the coolant line and leaving the Termowax for the secondary flaps..

"also, since i can remove the Dynamic Chamber and UIM as a whole can i leave the injectors and fuel rail attached to the UIM?"

CHEERS! and Thanks!

If the UIM has never been off before, the gasket will be baked on and you'll most likely destroy it getting them apart. Get a new one before you start; they cost practically nothing.

well, i've got everything off. I'm removing the EGR valve and installing the k2rd plate for it.. question. You know the large hose that runs from the plastic intake runner to the BAC valve? What did you guys do with that. There is another mechanism attached with an electronic plug.. it sits just below the BAC.. can i remove this?

Well, my intake gasket is a little damaged. Hurrrm. maybe i should have listened NZ lol. Think a local parts store IE: Discount/advanced would carry the gasket?

Can't i just reuse the gasket and apply some RTV to it?
