Removing Power Steering Belt

Ok, again, I must have some dumb questions.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the powersteering belt off to the right of the alternator? Can I just clip the belt and call it good or do I need to do something else?

cut the belt off, and the lines won't be able to equalize. You need to remove the pump.

No. The "crank" pulley spins the p/s pulley, and the p/s tension pulley.
Nothing bad, save a loss of p/s.
