removing heater hose

Not sure if the coolant actually flows through there or its just there for the heat.

Im cleaning up my engine bay so im planning to remove the heater hose thats connected to the radiator.

Has anyone done this before? If so what did you use to block it off?

noob question i know if the coolant actually flows through that hose then ill just leave it on lmao

lol wut?

It's there for heat, and it gets the heat from... the coolant.

ahhhh... well you'd have to... unless you want a giant hose in your engine bay spewing coolant everywhere. However, I giant rubber nipple may only work temporarily. I tried a tiny coolant hose block off with the usual auto parts rubber cap, and it dry rotted, cracked and burst, all within a week. You definitely need a quality rubber cap.

The coolant flows through there. My hose bursted a while back ago and coolant was pouring out and I had to replace it.

I hope it's a Race car...

You could run a bypass hose between the two connections, but that wouldn't really tidy up your engine bay.
