New Gtus :) But...
Well I just picked up a 90 gtus brilliant black restamp and man I didn't realize not having a sunroof would be so awesome!
But anyways the car had been sitting for a year and so of course I bought a new battery, plugs, wires, oil change etc.
I got it home to only realize I had no lights! Nothing outside or inside. Im waiting for the weekend to check the fuses as that's my first guess but im wondering if anyone has experienced this and it was something more than just a fuse...
Comments and ideas would be helpful.
Thanks

Check the headlight switch after the fuses. It could be burned out. The regulator in the alternator could have also taken a dump and spiked voltage, but that normally only blows out the headlights.

murphys law says if you check the fuse, it'll be good, but if you DON'T you'll replace half the car because the fuse was blown...
since the headlights and parking lights are on different circuits, its probably the switch, but there are about 3 fuses to check

Thanks guys I've got a set of new fuses and ill check em this weekend when I get the garage I don't feel like working in a foot of snow
Also, so I don't create a new thread
The po drilled the ignition out so I could drive it home because he lost the keys or some stupid reason. And I feel ghetto starting my car with a ******* screwdriver
So im kinda wondering what I should do next that wont kill my wallet.
The thing is I also have an s4 donor car that I DO have the key for. Can I just swap ignitions? Being two different series cars I would think it just wouldn't be that easy.
Any help would be awome. Id really like to drive my car to my garage and get rid of the po smell.

So an update and a couple more questions...
Um i got my other ignition out of my s4 and started plugging it into my gtus and ran into a problem. There is one plug that doesnt seem to be in the car.
Its a black wire with a red stripe and hve no idea where it goes or what it is. I looked in the fsm provided in the faq and couldnt find it where its at or where it goes...
Also there is a blue wire with a black stripe thats stripped and stray thats in a group of plugs that go to the ignition.
Pics are attached and sorry for the size i effed the second one up resizing it.
Help would be appreciated. Im hoping for a christmas miracle
Oh yeah disregard the other plug on the first picture i just need to switch the plugs on the male side

Okay well I went over and over and over the s5 fam wiring section and finally found something. The wire belongs to a plug called a starter cut relay... Whatever the hell that means..
I looked for this plug, looked for the wires in this same plug and am lost.. Nothing..
So if anyone has ideas, go for it. Thanks

The B/L wire exits the ignition switch and heads for the starter cut relay.
This relay is where the security system interfaces with the starter, if security is tripped, this relay shuts down and your starter is dead.
From the relay the wire turns to B/G and goes to the clutch interlock switch and then, at long last, to the starter solenoid.
You could bypass all this and connect the B/L to the appropriate terminal downside of the clutch switch and see what happens.

Yeah that's what I did I ran the B/R wire straight from the ignition straight to the starter. She cranks just won't fire up.
The po has an efan setup but its to a toggle( I know one project at a time) but he did it pretty ghetto. Wires are spliced by the wonderful twist method and some got disconnected when I got mad,
Due to the wiring mess.
Anywho
could me breaking the circuit on the efan cause it to not start?
Idk im kinda just throwing stuff out there.
But if someone could share a pic of the stock s5 underhood fusebox and the general area I might be able to sort this mess out Ill share my "setup" and tell me what you guys think as soon as I can
Thanks guys I was scared of getting flammed to all hell
