if you go to www.fc3s.org, there's a factory service manual you can view... i'm sure it says in there how to remove the bumper.

You have to take the wheels off and move the rubber piece inside the wheel wells out of the way. I believe there are 4 on each side in there and 5 across the top that you have to pop the hood for. Should be it.

If you have rust, then first order the left and right front bumper skin mounting plates from Mazda. You'll need them...

-remove the front row of bolts that holds the plastic undertray to the bumper
-remove the wheels, then remove the wheel liners (scews and 10MM bolts)
-reach into the front wheel wells, and remove the 10MM (3) bolts that hold the bumper mounting plate to the fender. They may break (hence the repalcements you ordered earlier)
-remove the row of bolts accross the top of the bumper skin at the front of the car. They are 10MM.
-remove the two remaining "hidden" bolts that are just at the top of the mounting plate, blocked by the headlight. You will need to raise the headlights to do this
-remove the screws that hold the turn signal lenses on, then remove them.
-wiggle bumper skin while pulling forward....should come off...

Yup, make sure you have a long extension bar to get to those inside bolts. They are a pain to get out if you don't have at least an 10 inch extension or so. It will save you at least half the time or less, guaranteed. The rest of the bolts are easy.

Try to search. There was a thread this past week asking the same exact thing.

Technically it could be done with the wheels on (did it before) but it is SO much easier with the front wheels off and you won't be bruising up your arm.
