Removing Emissions..?

I have a completely stock 87TII motor/setup in a 1st gen. and I want to remove as much emmissions crap as possible. Can anyone lead me in the right direction as to what NOT to pull. Thanks.

i have a nasty exhaust leak on my 88 GXL, so if i was to get rid of the main cat/pre-cat, with a header/downpipe/exhaust (missing anything?) and then i wanted to get a TII swap later on, would i have to replace anything, or would it bolt right up to the TII engine?

For the Exhaust, you'd have to replace eveything above the Catback In order for the Turbo II Motor to work with your suggested setup.

Nope...just go to a good muffler shop and when it comes time they'll just add the piping to connect to your down pipe and you can sell your headers to pay for it.
