Removing the 2nd Gen Hatch Glass:

can anybody give me a step by step process on removing the hatch glass? struts? wires? etc etc? blah blah blah?

i removed mine the hard way, by unconnecting the wires behind the rear side panels. ( you need a pannel tool to do this without breaking ****)

if you just want to replace the glass, all you need to do is remove the four bolts connecting the rear hatch to the hatch hindges. There's a nut or something connecting the shock to the rear glass( 1 each side, 2 total). The glass is kinda heavy, i was surprised... im guessing 70-80lbs.


once you replaced the glass, you need to make adjustments to the hatch for it to latch properly. Tighten the outermost bolt you want to pivot on, lightly tighten the other outside bolt so you can swivel the hatch so it lines up properly... then raise the hatch and tighten all of them.

oh yeah, i found a handy 2x4 helped out ... good luck and try not to break ****.
