Relocating the support bar that holds the oil cooler
So I'm trying to get my rad up as high as possible so I don't have to worry about anything. It's in Vmount right now, but I can't get the rad high enough due to the chassis bar being in the way (the bar that holds the stock oil cooler).
Here is where it sits now
Is the bar just spot welded or is it a bit more complicated to remove and move up about an inch?

^^ agreed. i went vmount. just drill out the 4 spot welds and call it good.
note: any metal forward of the front strut towers and suspension mounting points is not necessary. a good idea.. but not necessary.
also even with that bar removed and my rad pushed up, i was still able to get it stuck in a gutter and have the rad get ripped out of the car.

Nah, its not doing anything, or I ant imagine it is due to the thin material its made out of.
I couldn't get at the all of the spot welds without removing lots of stuck so we cut the center of the bar and stuck a chisel in where the bar is mounted to the frame and broke the spot welds.
Needless to say my radiator is MUCH higher. Sorry for the crappy tilted photo lol.
