Recommended fuel injection cleaning products?

I most likely need to run some injector cleaner through my system. The idle is missing, and aside from the massivly unselaed exhaust, the injectors are probably part of the problem.

What do you guys normally use for in-tank injector cleaners and how much do you normally put in to get the system nice and shiny?

I tried Techron and Amsoil PI. I cant tell a difference between the two or any changes (snake oil?). You might have to pull them and send off for professional cleaning at RC Engineering or CruzinPerformance (cheaper)

if the injectors are really clogged, no in tank cleaner will ever make a difference.

If they are only clogged minimally, then running Techroline at 3 times the recommended levels should help.

They're not clogged too bad, but I imagine after 17 years of service they need some lovin'

Where's a good place to get Techroline?

I used the Redline stuff.
Worked pretty good. My car was flooding everyday, and after I used it for a week it didnt flood nemore.

Maybe its a big coincidence or it worked...

I buy it by the case at Costco.

I have also heard good things about the Redline cleaner, but have not used it myself.

I have a 1988 RX 7 Convertible with 60,000 miles on it. It has never had the injectors cleaned or anything because it was my dads. I took it yesterday to have the fuel injectors cleaned professionaly and got a new fuel filter. WOW what a difference while they were doing tons of white carbon was shooting out the exhast may want to consider this. I had been putting techroline in it since I felt its the best but still were dirty.

we use diesel fuel at our shop sometimes to clean parts. I accidently filled my 7 with diesel fuel once. Ran crazy until i diluted it... but afterwards... car ran lots better. I heard that in store fuel injector cleaners are mainly diluted dieself fuel. so maybe it cleaned it up... or maybe it ate something. I dunno. hehe, that's my fuel injector cleaner.

Where can I get more details on this? I still have my Accord for a couple more weeks, and was going to lay 'er up to replace the exhaust gaskets anyways.

Thanks bro, I'm probably going to go with the full cleaning. It looks like that guy really knows his stuff. From what I saw in the process section, the $12/per injector cleaning includes new o-rings and caps? If so, that's one bitching deal (well, it seems like it is anyways).
