FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally!!
Okay, here's a story:
My TII has been in the driveway while I've been working on restoration, for a *very* long time.
A couple of weeks back, I got it running and could drive it around. Along with overheating and stuff, it just had NO power on acceleration. Bad hesitation at 4000RPM and such... mainly; no nads.
Earlier, I looked into clogged cats, vacuum leaks and a plethora of other things.
Today, I've been troubleshooting this specific problem (having just solved the overheating) and found crap in the BAC valve (see earlier post), and found a bad PS Switch (see other earlier post).
So, with the engine idling and walking back to test the PS Switch one more time just to be sure, I noted the connector dangling when I thought I'd plugged it back in. Lo and behold, it was actually the Leading Igniter supply plug.
Oh, Geeze...it can't be I forgot to plug it back in after the grounding exercise?!? I plugged it in and the car runs like the proverbial bat outta hell. Good Grief.
Anyway, Yippeeeee!!! I can finally take it to emissions and get a current tag. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, return the gutless little Toyota I borrowed from a friend just to get around in the mean time.
Yippee Yahoo!!!!!
Thanks to everyone on this form for all your help getting The Best Car I've ever had back on the road.
