recomenned upgrades

hey guys , i just purchased a 1986 rx7 with TII engine and gearbox already installed, ive just put in a 3" catback exhaust with a 2 1/2" tip, ive got around 1,500us dollars to spend, any recomendations on what i should do next as to up the reliability of my car. im still only 18 so not really looking to wrap my self around a tree via putting on a bigger turbo etc, but that will come on a later date. any info on recommendations would be greatly appreciated

You'll want to port the wastegate and probably install either a fuel cut defender or a simple Rtek ECU upgrade, which would take care of the fuel cut defending, fuel delivery and timing depending on the model and so on, there's more to them than that (the better option, especially since you have more money, and this isn't much more costly). How many miles are on the motor, and have you done a compression check and full service/tune?

New suspension is always nice. Maybe a standalone.

well he probably wants to make the 1500 bux buy more than one thing. Unless you're talking about megasquirt.

he can piece together a nice FMIC for 400 bux
I found a koyo for under 300
Fuel controller can be found for 100-200bux
tires would give him nice grip.
I'm sure he woks so he could make enough for a dynotune.

once he goes to a bigger turbo he can

i also have a motec computer, but due to the imbosile who owned the car before he left the door open once and it reset the computer taking it back to default settings, the odometer reads 200k but the motor has done around 100k. havent done a compression check and a tune since i have had it, do i need a bov flange to put a bov onto my stock turbo and would it even be worth it?. its just also had some new tyres on spent a fair few bux on them and i dont do skids or drift so they should last me a bit.
