rebuilt question

I have a question for all who have had this problem on a fresh rebuild.
Keep in mind all parts were well within spec.
I used housings that measured within spec per FSM and changed to new apex springs. It is very difficult to start after it is warmed up. Almost impossible sometimes. I've had it idling for a total of few hours now but sorta afraid to take it on the road because it will not re-start after it is warmed up.
Idle has to be set at least 1200rpm. When cold it starts fine.
When I shut it down and try to restart, it seems like it will start but dies out again.
I'm using a pump cut off switch at the moment.
Is it THIS hard on a rebuild???
I've had a rebuild start right away and idle fine even on old housings and new apex seals.
This has me STUMPED.

You did not get new apex seals? Did you put the old ones in the same places before the motor came out?

Vacuum leak!!!

Seriously, it could also be something with the intake air temperature sensor, but my money is on the vacuum leak.

They're OEM seals.

I triple checked them all...I'm sure I don't have any.
I pretty much soaked the upper half of the motor with carb cleaner just enough not to start a fire.
It's just REALLY hard to start when warmed up.
