so far, i checked my CAS, and i lined it up and everything. and i found my TPS which the PO apparrently took off for some reason so i put that back on. i havent tried push starting it yet though. but one odd thing, when i turn my car on, theres this really annoying beeping sound. and its one very long consistent beep. dunno wats going on, cause it didnt maken this sound before. anyhow, ill try to do a push start tomorrow.

the long consistent beeping noise is your "add coolant" buzzer. Its annoying as hell. Mine is doing that too but only because I have an aftermarket radiator without a sensor for the coolant.

I think we both need to check the CAS. Someone told me that advancing the timing a tiny bit would help start the car too.

atf is corrosive. that's why it works so well on carbon locked engines.
don't ever put ATF in your engine unless you have NO other alternative.

Actually, ATF is terrible at dissolving carbon. Tests I have done have shown that it has almost zero effect on carbon. Others have confirmed this both before and after I did my tests.

Yes, ATF is evil, and will eat your oil o-rings. I have done tests of this as well. It turns them into jelly.

i just tried to do a push start using my friend's car and we went to a max of 25mph and my rex was hitting about 3-4k rpm in the first gear and i left the car on "On", but the car didnt start. one thing i noticed was that the boost gauge when i didnt push the gas way below below zero and when i did push the gas it just went a little below zero. does this indicate a vacuum leak? after i tried the push start i went and poped the hood and i felt the engine and it was pretty hot. i also check the exhaust and it didnt smell like gasoline. i only noticed petroleum jelly which i used during the asembly of the engine. i was wondering if anybody has any idea wat could be going on. i also dont seem to get a response from the car when i step on the throttle. and the thing is i checked the TPS and everything, i lined the CAS as best as i could considering that i cant use the timing light yet. i just hope there isnt something royally screwed up about the car.

ECU pluged in?

When I swapped my enigine in, I forgot to plug all 4 ECU connections in. I got the 2 that go to the ECU, but missed the other 2 that plug in on the right side. Its kind of hard to see because they are under the dash moreor less.
