just normal stuff man
clean it real well and check all the parts out
you can upgrade oil system with better oil pump and regulator or you can grind out certain areas around pump and other places for more flow
for a street car though, these are not really necessary
as far as cooling system, you can get a bigger radiator or lower temp thermostat
sending injectors off to be cleaned/blueprinted is good idea

Best time to clean and inspect stuff is while its outta the car. I make an opportunity to check everything and then re check again if Im unsure of its worthiness... Then replace...

Yeh thats the way i am thinking at the moment, I have just heard about modifying somthing to do with the cold oil bypass but i dont have any idear of what the guy is going on about. There is suposed to be some kind of waxstat on the end of the Crank you have to block of but i dont fancy messing with the oil system when i have no idear what it does?

Well just follow the mazda repair manual on measuring & checking the various engine components.

You might want to have the injectors professionally cleaned & blueprinted while your at it.

Try to get your hands on an (8095psi) upgrade oil pressure regulator.&nbsp You can try and groove the water jacket, but that's a pain in the *** for most people.

I never done it myself, but I've heard it's good for about 5F drop in temps, especially on a highly modded (read:&nbsp high power) 13B rotary...

Basically what you're doing is carving grooves into the water jacked in the area by the spark plugs.&nbsp This area is the hottest part of the rotor housing.&nbsp You'll need steady hand and a lot of patience.&nbsp What you're trying to do is create more surface area on the rotor housing for heat transfer; I've also heard that it also creates turbulence which slows down the coolant flow for better heat transfer.

You will need a carbide cutting bit (part #22102 RacingBeat). They say that you will only need one to do the both rotor housings. Im thinking of doing this mod myself as its not as scary as doing a streetport.
