Rebuild kit

Hi everybody! As you know I'm restoring the rx7 fc s4 to turbo II S5 and it's time to prepare the engine. I have some doubts and the information that I read is far from clear. For example, choose the rebuild kit. I don't know whether to choose: Atkins kit C or the master kit. I sent an email but just told me to read the FAQ, and there is not answered. Has anyone done any rebuid and can guide me? thank you very much.
One more thing, where I can get the protector moldings of S5?

get the master kit and make sure all of your clearances for your seals are correct. i highly recommend buying a rebuild video and doing a lot of research...

clearances are all outlined in the factory service manual.

the kit you choose is up to opinion, i personally do not care much for the Atkins apex seals for boosted engines any longer since there are now better options out there. they work fine for naturally aspirated and even some stock turbo engines.

I have the video. The clearances seem to be OK but I don't understand why the Master Kit doesn't have the Oil Ring Springs, the pilot bearing & seal and rotor main bearings. I really should replace them now I have the engine unmounted or I shouldn't care much about that? Any way to be completly sure those rings and bearings are OK?

Thank you for your answer!

Pilot bearing and seal are Parts associated with a clutch replacement.
those 2 parts plus a Throw out bearing.

I understand... but, which kit most people choose? Because, I don't understand why something like Oil Ring Springs are not available on a Master Kit ( when supposes that it's the ideal kit for rebuild )

And, chain oil pump supposes that never need change like a timing chain. Or I'm wrong?

Thanks for your time!

A friend and I just recently rebuilt his 13B-REW. We had quite a time just figuring out which kit needed to be purchased. We came to the conclusion that the master rebuild kit is what would be needed. It did, in fact, come with oil control ring springs. This is not to say that your order will or will not come with the springs. The kit came with everything that we needed for our build. The oil pump chain didn't fit, but that was the least of our worries. I'm sure that Atkins would have gladly sent us the correct chain, had we been that concerned.

You can always choose an Atkins kit that doesn't come with apex seals and order the apex seals separatley from another company. Solid corner seals and FD corner seal springs are recommended.
