rebuild just blew?

I am pretty sure I just spent a year and a half and who knows how many thousand dollars on something that just blew. I was haveing problems before but we got them sorted. Iddeld and ran great. just a little hot start problem. So with 550km on the rebuild driveing like a grandma, today I left my house, started great. ran good for about 2 min. Then a TERRIBLE grinding noise, tons of backfires and power loss. I shut it down right away and towed it home. I dont have a compression tester. But I dont think I need one. When I go to start it, it just back fires and grindes. So I guess its blown. Right? Could have been the OMP, OMP lines? I dont friggin know. any thoughts.

it's possible you havent blown it, but that sure is a symptom of an apex seal that broke....

when my rebuild is complete, i sure as hell wont drive it like a grandma... ill use synthetic oil and premix and drive it slightly above a moderate level

thrust plate? stat gear? could be lots of things....sounds sort of like it might have thrown an apex seal...but like i said, it could be many things...

i didn't acctually meen grandma. I ment trying to drive it below boost. and shifting before 4K . I just dont know. The first time it blew I could hear the apex seal but it wasn't like this. This is like part of the rotar broke off and is bouncing around. Sound wise I meen. Its friggin LOUD.

try rotating the engine by hand to see if you can verify the noise is coming from INSIDE the engine. if it is, you need to rebuild it, bottom line.

I was dumb, well mabey not dumb. But I wanted to support a new business. Triangels of Fury built it. He gave me a year warenty. I have it in the contract. But that wont help if the guy wont return my calls or e-mails. He lives 3 provences away.
