NEW GUY=P RX7 question

How's everyone doing? I got my license some months ago and i love to drive/drift(when i can) but the car i have now is a grandma car, thou it is supercharged, it just does not feel right when i sit inside of it. Though i have not been driving too long, i am still pretty familiar with the drifting, cars, ect... since i was a little kid^^

Well enough of that, this is my first post here so please, praise me!! j/k

Actually, i have a question...I found an 87' RX7 in my area for $700, but it's anA/T...
should i buy the car and do a tranny swap or just pay a few thousand more for a manuel...NOTE: I dont get paid a lot so im looking at time also: faster to save and buy an RX7 with M/T or just buy this and tranny swap?
Some advice would be great=P
thnx

You want advice, here it is.

The A/T is probably nice, but just do the right thing and wait for a TII. If you are on a limited budget, this is the best way to get what you want. It'll come boosted with a M/T. You'll spend more up front, but less in the long run.

Just my humble opinion.

P.S. I waited for a TII and have 0 regrets about it

well that sounds cool... i havent looked too much into it, how much would you say those go around for and are they easy to come by?

EDIT: wow, well i found one in New Jersey for $1500 and its alllll beat up + i live on the other side of the country, so nevermind about that car...lol

EDIT 2: Okay i see they all go around at a reasonable price, 2-5k.. not bad

Yeah, if you want to buy one and have more than enough info on it, look in our "For Sale" section. The ones in there are awesome buys and most everyone is extremely honest and fair. That is where I got my baby.

Well, after thinking about it, you might want to get a M/T NA. Then do a TII swap once you get used to how the car drives and are ready for more power. The last thing you want to do is drift a TII and wreck it. There aren't enough of them as is!
