Rebuild compression?

What should the compression be on a rebuilt engine with 0 miles on it?

The reason I sak is that I rebuilt my engine and it wouldn't start unless I squirted oil in the lower spark plug holes, but when it started it would rev to 3000 RPM and stay there. so I took it to a shop because I was done trying to figure it out and they called me and told me that there was below minimum compression.

compression will be low for a while, untell the seals fit themselfs. if after a few hundred miles its still very low you have issues.

maybe adjust your idle if you tamperd with the throttle body (throttle body mod perhaps). your lucky you got it to start without towing it. mine refused so i had to tow start it.. i think it had something to do with the battery not being the strongest though..
