Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
Next time please put what you would like help with instead of just a lame link. If you are too lazy to post what you need help with, what makes you think anyone is not too lazy to help you???
It looks like (just glancing through the link) that to hook up the mirror the way you have disconnected it, the easist way is to remove the glass, re-attach the ball into the socket, tighten back down the screws, and re-install the glass.
Be careful when removing the glass, as it is easy to crack it out and break it. Put the mirror/body section in the sun or under a heat gun to warm the plastic, to get a little more give when removing the mirror.
Same thing when re-installing the mirror section.

Hey, I'm sorry. I'm at work and shouldn't be on the internet (my supervisor is lurking around). I'm thankful that you at least tried to help. I thought about that, also (removing the glass), but figured that there could be a different way of doing it. Thanks and I'll edit my post.

goes into this...
Somehow, I am supposed to pop that ball joint into the top of the rearview mirror. Inside there are three pieces and a screw that holds the ball joint in place. The ball goes in between two plastic pieces and then behind one of the plastic pieces is a metal plate that you have to push into place, squeezing the plastic pieces around the ball joint. You have to screw from the back of the mirror to keep that metal plate in place. Sorry for the bad link.

I can pop the ball joint in no problem. It's pushing that metal plate in place that's the hard part.
BTW, I'm in this situation because I was switching the mirrors (I wanted to keep the good one) between cars. Unless someone has a non-sunroof mirror still attached to the interior light panel, I'd forget about this.
