Rear Wheel Bearing Race Popped Out

Hey all,

I pressed in new rear wheel bearings today, following the guide below. On the first side, when installing the wheel hub back into the bearing, the inner race pressed out the back until it hit the bar holding the whole assembly in the press. This was mentioned in the guide, so I simply pressed it back in once the hub was fully seated. On the other side, I supported the assembly with a socket on the race so it didn't pop out.

I thought this wasn't an issue, however the first side where the race was pressed out is much harder to turn than the second side. It still turns by hand, and doesn't feel like it is grinding or binding, but I am worried something in the bearing shifted since it takes roughly 3-4x the torque to turn as the other side. Has anyone experienced this before and can offer any advice? I can press it out and retry or just buy another bearing if need be.

Guide I followed:

Thanks,
Kellis
