Rear Steer Eliminator Bushings- Problems

i ordered some rear steer elim. bushings from MMR manufacturing. Take the rear end apart and find the bushings barely stay in the holes! I can move the bushing back and forth in their holes with my hand. Anyone else encountered a fitment problem with these MMR-made bushings?

I just installed a set from Racing beat and they whent in real tight. I needed to press them in and once in they weren't going anywhere.
Did you have corosion in the hub carrier when you removed the old bushings?

I'm going to measure the bushings tonight- they're supposed to be 34mm in diameter, so that'll be the first step... the hub carriers looked to be in very good shape. Yeah these definately shouldn't be this loose...

Yeah the MMR bushings were to the spec they quoted me and they measured an average of 13 thou under the diameter of Racing Beats bushings (which I had handy to reference). Yeah I was/am stumped. The MMR bushings literally rattle in the carrier's holes. The MMR bushings were supposed to be 1.334 to 1.338 in diameter. (yeah there's some quality control).
Racing beat's DTSS bushings went in today instead. Which, incidentally measure 1.349-1.350 inches in diameter and the sleeves dont look like they were carved using a stone awl like MMR's do.
I'm quite pleased with the MMR bushings other than that tho.

MMR direct is not pleasing me. I mentioned to them 6 days ago that their bushings were not to correct spec.
I guess if you leave them positive feedback they consider the sale done. Who would have guessed that it was rocket science to get a bushing to the correct specification in diameter?
If you guys want a rear steer bushing to make a funky noise at the apex of a corner, get the ones from MMR on Ebay. Just don't say you heard that from me.

as a side note: I installed their (MMR) engine/tranny mounts without issue.

Toe elim's though must be a problem

i can assure you that putting an elim bushing in that was that loose would present a problem. It could potentially be very dangerous.

The thing is with the engine and tranny mounts, it doens't matter if they're off my a little bit. They don't need to fit in a precisely machined hole like the DTSS or control arm bushings, they're open to space, so a slight varyation on the diameter of them is nothing. To me this speaks to their quality control and attention to detail. I'd rather pay a little more and have the product actaully work.

Ya, and that's the reason I posted about the DTSS bushings. I ended up putting in Racing Beat's rear steer bushings. Maybe a few people will read this and be wary of inferior quality bushings that are on the market.

Sweet jesus you have to be kidding me?

The electrical **** is either your automatic adjusting suspenion or the factory amp for that speaker. the dtss bushings are located on the rear trailing arm/hub assembly.
