Rear Steer Eliminator Bushing dimensions.

Does anyone have one they can measure with some accuracy. Why? I work at a machine shop and instead of paying money. I can make them free (for me only though)!! If anyone can help me, that would be cool.

thanks,
Mike

Sorry I don't have the dementions for you, but I was wondering what you're planning on making them out of? I just installed some that were made out of UHMW Polyetheline, and I love them.

Why waste your time? If it takes you an hour to have them made, thats the same as buying them already.. unless your time is worthless.

I think I have the dimensions on my computer at home, but I'm at work right now. I get off at midnight mountain time so I'll post them on here when I get home.

I don't consider it a waste of time. By the time I get them here to Canada, they'll cost me $70-80 plus I get the experience of working on lathe, it's not my job, I'm a CAD guy so it's nice to have more skills. I can design parts, I just want to be able to make them as well

Gaining new skills, and doing something you enjoy is never worthless or waisted time. If it was, I'd never have bought this car.

Edit: The picture was too big to upload to the forum. I tried linking to it from my cardmain page but they shrink it down to where you can't see the measurements in the pictures. Anyone who wants the picture just PM me your email address and I'll email it to you.

You will have to make your own, you cannot use the inner sleeve. I would advise you to just purchase a premade set, then waste your time and money trying to fab them up yourself. I also recommend AGAINST taking measurements from premade parts, take the measurements from the hub.

I have seen to many times that, other peoples measurements and parts do not fit 100% like the OE, therefore I take my own accurate measurements to ensure 100% fitment like stock.

could be a problem...

no money to be wasted, material is free...maybe some time used improving my lathe skills ( or CNC programming). In my line of work, I often have to make drawings of parts that have no more OEM replacements available and all I have is a worn out part. Can be fun sometimes.

good point, I just don't have a trailing arm handy.

So what do you plan on installing them in and ensure proper fitment? BTW its not in the trailing arm, its in the hub/bearing carrier. Seriously, if you are planning on making a set or more find a hub and take measurements, or just fork over the miniscule amount of money and purchase one fo the many sets available out there.

I have gone through this myslef, and you will fine it will take a few to get it perfect and I still find ways to add improvements.
