rear cargo cover

I got a blue rear cargo cover, it came with my 88 TII. My question is is this such a rare item? I don't really like it. Just curious.

It wasn't rare. It's pretty rare now. You could sell it for a pretty penny.

Why would you not want to have the acessability of concealing your rear contents.

I used to have one. It's irritating because it not only partitions your hatch space, it limits the height of the things that you could otherwise fit into it. There's no easy way to store it in-car once removed. And it's probably pretty ugly by now, too.

It's a Sports Car. Not a Mini Van. Put your Golf Clubs In the Hatch and away you go.

I've never even seen or heard of one. Do you have a picture of it?

The cargo covers came standard on 89-91 GXL's and TII's. However, they were a dealer option on 86-88 RX-7's, thus the relative rarity of them.

I ordered one through Mazda because mine was missing. MUST BUY EVERY OPTION THAT CAME WITH THESE CARS!!!!

You can even convert your car to work with these. All you need is the correct speaker grills, snaps in the rear, velcro tabs, hangers, and hanger **** that goes on the hatch. I believe the lower latches have a dibit that sticks out and holds the rear of the hatch cover.

Speaking of "missing items", on the convertible, I've ordered the snap on boot & hardtop bag (hardtop bag & hartop goes nicely into the trunk).

You can also order the OEM new sideskirts and 6 various rear spoilers for you car.

I really like mine. It keeps groceries back there while you are in the process of remebering they were back there in the first place

One thing you can do to carry more is undo those five snaps so that small part hinges up. Lets you slide more under it. Also, it stops people from window...i mean hatch shopping for your goodies in the back.
