Rear Camber Off
Rear Camber Off
I trying to figure out what is wrong. My rear camber is off by alot. I don't know how to measure camber, but well be looking it up later. They seem to be off by the same amount. Why are they like this? I just got the car and i am going through it each problem at a time. I have a 1987 rx7

I can add more pics later.

is the car lowered? it looks like it is in the pictures?
lowering these cars increases the camber,
what kind of suspension is it?
also worn out bushing and suspension parts tends to make the rear end sag a bit too

I wanted to get spring and struts back in the car, but I was hoping to wait. Can anyone give me suggestions on springs that well get me by tell next summer and struts that well do that same. Cheep is what I am saying.

from the factory the rear is about 1" higher than the front. measuring from the ground to the top of the fender through the center of the wheel the front is 26"-27" high and the rear will be an inch higher.
side to side should be even, or within 1/16th of an inch
I am going to revert back to spring and coil setup, but I want to get a stock ride height. anyone know a good brand with a stock ride height. I have only seen -1" for ride height everywhere.
I just bought a strut and spring OEM set of 4 from Ebay. I hoping to at the least use the spring if not the struts. They did not look ,from the picture, to be leaking and they were anything were near clean and I did not see any leaks. I am hoping there is good shape.

Just an FYI if you are measuring alignment and come across this. Don't freak out when you see the wheels toe in when the car is stopped. The FC has a DTSS rear suspension which controls toe during various parts of accel, decel and cornering. It's all done by a rather complicated bushing. However the system toes in when there is no load on the rear wheels. Totally normal.
Thank you. I did see the toe a little but I was not really concerned yet. Now I know it normal for the car. I was more concerned about the camber causing so extreme wear on the inside.
