Unhappy Rear camber adjuster problem

So I bought a Mazdatrix rear camber adjuster bar, the adjustable on car, to fix my negative camber on my 89 GXL. I went to my friends shop to use his powertools and we got the old bar out no problem. So we put the adjuster bar in, top screw fit in fine, we tightened it down and then proceeded to put the bottom screw in. When we tried to put the screw in, the screw would not fit into the end pieces, the ones that can be removed. The hole was too small so we would have had to drill it out for it to fit. I decided to put the stock bar back in and I would call Mazdatrix and ask what's up because there must be a reason why it doesn't fit but they are closed on the weekends. Has this happened to anyone else? Do you think they just sent me the wrong size end pieces?

So the stock screw would not fit into the little end pieces on bottom part of the bar, the right side in the pic.

$10 says they just tell you you have to use a different bolt. Whats the big deal? Just buy a quality bolt that fits. problem solved.

I bought the dual camber links and the allen bolt snapped in one of em. Now those are hard to find. Had to go to a specialty fastener shop.

But i've never heard of anyone else having this problem. I shouldn't have to go buy a smaller bolt, they should make the bolt fit into the hole. The top bolt fit. I just think they cut the hole too small.

hmm I dont think I know exactly what screw your talking about I've never used or installed one of these links. I just know that they replace the sub-frame link which bolts in with 2 bolts. If it isn't one of the bolts that bolts the camber link to the chassis then I'm confused.

It's just the bottom bolt. The on that is easily reached from under the car, not the one closest to the frame but the one close to the ground. Well if no one has had this problem then I guess i'll just call mazdatrix monday and ask if this is normal or if they sent me the wrong link.

Well I called Mazdatrix about the problem and they said the manufacturer screwed up on drilling the bushing hole. They had a whole batch of bad camber adjuster bar bushings but didn't think they sent any out. They said they will send me out two new bushings that are the correct size.

Just put one in last week end. Same thing. The bottom section uses an 8 mm bolt where as the original had a 10mm bolt. Using an 8mm bolt doesnot solve the proble as the holes in the lower mounting flange are 10 mm so even with the crap tightened out of an 8mm bolt it will still wiggle around and eventually damage the flange. I will ask Mazdatrix to replace my bushings with the correct size.
