reviving this just to bring a close to the chapter ... and ask for a part number or two.

i bought a new (i think it was actually a remanufactured unit) caliper for it sometime last autumn. i finally made some time to mess with it last night and everything went together perfectly. i torqued the wheel down and it turns freely with no signs of any hangups at all. all is well. i just need to do a good flush and bleed through the whole system now.

what i would like now is if someone can post the part number(s) for the solid lines that i'm missing up front. i learned from one of Clokker's threads (i think) that the 5-lugs cars have a solid extension line up front. i tried looking them up at one of the online Mazda dealers i buy parts from, but so far no luck. at any rate, i want to get them so i can finish up the braking system.

as always, thanks to everyone.

If you have an inside micrometer measure distance, on each caliper, from piston to outer part of caliper.
May be able to get an idea if there is any difference using a "ruler" broken down into 32nd's.
