ready to put everything on (injectors)

in the process of swapping stock 4x550 with 2x550 2x750..i've noticed that the 750s have the notch outside of the harness plug different from the 550s..would that cause a problem when i plug them in?......

i've found the 10 ohm resistors on the radio shack website for ~2 dollars a pack, they dont look like they can withstand the heat in the engine bay could i put them in near the ECU? or do i need to look for replacements?...the ones on rx7store.net seems to be the sturdy ones..but as far as i know those are 3 ohms?....plus it'd take too long for them to ship it to me, where else would i find the resistors? ....im eager as hell to put these on....

ok after the above 2 questions are solved.....what gaskets would i need to purchase when i put everything back together...i plan on using rtv whenever i can....what are some of the places that only gasket material will work?

thanks

torean

well you will need the uim gasket and I put a little rtv on the top and bottom of that gasket if you have the lim off you will need that gasket as well. As far as the resisters go I've heard of alot of people putting them near the ecu for the same reason you mentioned. Just make sure you have the right resisters and it should be fine from radio shack. Now I've never done this for my car but have read differant posts about it (witch means wait for someone elses oppinion) Anyways were are you going to get the gaskets from???

there u go....should be the same for s4....just ported my first wg today...those grinding stones do so little...now i can wiggle my thumb in the smaller hole...how big does this have to be?

also...anyone have any experience with ceramic coating the exhuast manifold for better boost response?.....i thought about coating the hot side of the turbo also.....if anyone has experience..please let me know....thx

ok.....everythings back into the car now......fired it up wednesday afternoon but found out that the grommet wasnt seated right so fuel was leaking onto the engine....took it apart thursday and fixed the leak....wouldnt start up....took it apart again this morning and changed most of the vac hoses....on the UIM/TB/elbow....now the problem is.....it wont hold idle, still floods, even with cleaned 550/750.....any suggestions?....what should the vacuum be when idle?...im only getting 11 In Hg and boosting 5-7psi in neutral....wtf is going on here...any one know?

um........stock ported motor should see 15 or better, 11 is not good. How the hell are you boosting that much in neutral???? I can never get my car to spool in neutral.

i dont recommend radio shack resistors, unless you want to put them in a case that would be shock free, and shielded from heat. id recommend finding a resistor thats rated for military grade applications if youre serious. prolly wont cost much more.
